Chris Hoy Memorial Scholarship
Chris Hoy, better known to the Ultimate community as Hoy, was an individual who loved all things Ultimate, but especially those that were fun and created bonds between people. He was always willing to help others, loved his family fiercely, and teaching gave him immense joy. Being a YUC coach was something he took great pride in and Summer League was always his favorite time of year. Heckling was an art form for him, and he sometimes announced for Cincinnati Revolution (a past AUDL team). He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed any game of any kind. He often got lost in stories like Star Wars, The World of Warcraft, Parks and Rec, God of War, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Though he ended his life early, he would want his memory to continue on in those who love ultimate, truly believe in Spirit, and live life to its fullest.
This scholarship was created after his passing to continue his legacy and passion for youth ultimate.
